Small Business Owner, iPad Mini 6 vs Kindle Paperwhite
If you’re someone who loves to read, whether it’s curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee or poolside on a sunny day, you’ve probably wondered what the best device is for reading… The Kindle Paperwhite or the iPad Mini 6.
I recently created a YouTube video comparing both of these devices, and let me tell you, there’s a lot to consider depending on your reading style and lifestyle.
In this post, I’m giving you a quick overview, but for the full breakdown, be sure to watch the video!
In the video, I dive into my personal experience using the Kindle Paperwhite Kids 16GB and the iPad Mini 6. I chose the kids version of the Kindle because it was on sale, has no ads, and offers more than enough storage.
I currently have over 400 books downloaded and have only used a small fraction of the storage space! With features like waterproof design, an incredible battery life, and an easy-to-read screen in the sun, the Kindle is a dream for distraction-free reading.
However, it does have limitations, like no color highlighting and being limited to the Kindle app only.
On the other hand, the iPad Mini offers a completely different reading experience.
It’s versatile, supports the Apple Pencil, and allows you to use apps like GoodNotes, Kindle, and Apple Books all in one place. I use mine to digitally organize my book library, take notes, and even customize a reading focus mode that gives it a Kindle-style look and feel.
It’s not waterproof, and the battery doesn’t last as long as the Kindle, but it shines when it comes to flexibility and functionality, especially for those who love annotating or multitasking.
Whether you prefer the simplicity of a Kindle or the all-in-one power of an iPad really comes down to your habits and preferences.
I actually use both: my Kindle is perfect for travel, outdoor reading, and relaxing without distractions, while my iPad Mini is my go-to for productivity, notes, and in-depth reading sessions.
If you’re debating between the two or just curious how each stacks up, I highly recommend checking out the video.

I walk you through everything I love and don’t love about both devices, show how I use them day-to-day, and even share a few setup tips if you’re into customizing your reading experience.
