Most people are going to think I'm crazy for saying this, but one of my favorite parts of being a photographer is the constant uphill battle I face. I’m not going to lie. Some days it's harder than others, but I still wouldn't pass up the feeling of accomplishing something I worked so hard for. That's the true definition of accomplishment. This is a highly competitive industry, and that competitiveness makes an already hard industry harder. Big steps or little steps; progress is progress as long as you are moving forward.
I feel like my business is headed in the direction I want it to be going. Doing what I love, and still be humbled by the fact that I know I have room for improvement. However, each day I learn something new, each day I continue to broaden my skill set, and each day I grow as a photographer. In years to come, I know one day I won’t have to worry about an uphill battle; and that’s all the motivation I need.
